At a glance
What is an IT audit from LogicX?
An IT audit from LogicX is an independent review of your systems, data flows, suppliers, security and costs, ending in a report with a priority plan. It is not an audit opinion or assurance report: you get findings and priorities your board can act on, not a formal statement from a registered auditor for third parties. It usually takes 2 to 4 weeks.
The IT audit fits if
- you use more than three separate systems for your core processes.
- staff re-enter data by hand between systems.
- a management report takes manual work.
- you face a major IT investment and want independent advice.
- your organisation is growing faster than your systems.
Who it is for, and who it is not for
Who it is for
The management team or board that wants to know where its IT stands as a whole before spending money: on a new system, a supplier or a reorganisation of IT. You get an independent picture and an order of what to do first.
Not for
An audit opinion or assurance report: that comes from a registered auditor, not from LogicX. A penetration test or a security operations centre (SOC): we do not offer those. Certification: LogicX does not certify and does not guarantee compliance. One project that has stalled: start with the Project Health Check or the Programme Recovery Review instead.
How it works
Usually 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the number of systems and suppliers.

What you get
The current situation
Your systems, integrations and suppliers in one overview.
Bottlenecks and risks
Where you lose time, money and data quality.
A priority plan
What first, what next, and roughly what it costs. Discussed with management, so the plan gets decided as well as written.
Not an audit opinion, but a priority plan
In audit practice, "IT audit" often means a formal opinion on the reliability of systems or controls, given by a registered auditor and used by third parties. That is not what LogicX does. An IT audit from LogicX is an independent review with a priority plan, not an audit opinion or assurance report. You use the report to decide what to tackle first, not as assurance for your auditors, a regulator or a customer. If you need that kind of statement, we say so in the first call.
Who does the work
One senior lead conducts the interviews, does the analysis and writes the report. Where a part of the review calls for a specialist, security for example, we select and manage that specialist ourselves. The work is done remotely, on site where needed.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the free IT quick scan?
The IT quick scan is a free 12-question self-assessment with an instant score. The IT audit is carried out by LogicX, with interviews, system reviews and a report with a priority plan. It is an independent review, not an audit opinion or assurance report.
Is an IT audit from LogicX an audit opinion or assurance report?
No. An IT audit from LogicX is an independent review with a priority plan, not an audit opinion or assurance report. You get findings and an order of measures, not a formal statement from a registered auditor. If you need one, we tell you in the first call.
Is an IT audit or IT health check the same thing?
The terms are used loosely. At LogicX the IT quick scan is the free self-assessment and the IT audit is the paid review, usually 2 to 4 weeks. If you ask elsewhere for an IT audit or IT health check, compare what you get at the end. From us it is a report with a priority plan, not an audit opinion.
We have one project that is failing. Is the IT audit the right step?
Usually not. The IT audit looks at all of your IT. For one stalled project, the Project Health Check of 5 working days is the smaller first step, and the Programme Recovery Review is the full 3-week review. If the programme is still running and the board wants oversight, programme assurance fits.
Am I committed to anything after the audit?
No. You can carry out the plan yourself or with another party. If we could do follow-on work ourselves, we say so in writing.
